scubaboard.com discussions |
I usually recommend the USENET for discussions on the net. USENET was designed for discussion, and the software applications (newsreaders) are designed expressly for discussions on the USENET. Web browsers just don't do as well for many reasons. However, in the case of scuba discussions, I recommend you check into scubaboard.com instead of the USENET. The USENET's rec.scuba groups are permeated by an atmosphere of joking and hazing and flame wars (never-ending arguments.) While this occurs in many USENET groups to some extent, it is much more prevalent in the rec.scuba groups. |
